摘要
By, creating a dictionary correlating von Neumann's process 1 and process 2 with the quantum Born rules for probability amplitudes and probabilities, unambiguous definitions of quantum measurement and the collapse of the wave function are achieved. It is found that the collapse of the wavefunction takes place before an event is completed and thus before there can be any observation of a quantum event. The collapse of the wavefunction acts as a connector unifying the von Neumann processes, thus overcoming what had appeared to be a wave-particle duality.
