摘要
Today, the country's dropout rates show that for some colleges, in the first six months, the percentage is very high, due to the unclear factors related with that the students applying to the universities and very clear about their expectations of career at university. Because of this, the university is aware to identify some risk factors that the student might have when he or she enters the university. They are aware that the learning processes is not a particular phenomenon that begins in the first semester of college, but instead they are conditioned by some socio-economic characteristics of the students, this is to establish the relationship that exists between the environment and the student's academic development, in which this project has been verified in the following stages: 1. SOCIO ECONOMIC CHARACTERIZATION: It seeks to establish the student's socioeconomic conditions such as age, social status, origin, marital status, family income, number of siblings, employment status, parents' last educational level. 2. ACADEMIC CHARACTERISTICS: Performance tests for college entrance and final initial leveling. As a result of this, a set of strategies will be presented to improve the admissions process and the incorporation of students into the university with the objective to lower dropout rates.
