STRUCTURAL PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF NEW-TYPE WAVE DISSIPATING CONCRETE BLOCK

摘要
The structural performance of a new-type block was investigated through loading tests on the prototype and FEM analysis. Surcharge loads were measured to determine the design surcharge load. From the frequency distribution of the surcharge load, the design surcharge load was decided as the value where the non-exceedance probability was 95%. Loading tests were conducted to investigate structural performance of the new-type blocks with steel bar reinforcement. Based on the results of these tests and non-linear 3-dimensional FEM analysis, the strength of the new-type block was found to be larger than the design surcharge load of that of the Tetrapod.
