摘要
In this paper, the performances of two flexible adhesives were studied through single lap adhesive joint tests. The influence of temperature on the lap shear strength of the adhesives was investigated. It is shown that the lap shear strength of the adhesives is affected by variation of temperature. The effect of bondline thickness and overlap length oil the lap shear strength of the adhesives was also studied. In contrast to joints with brittle adhesives, the joint strength of joints with flexible adhesives increases almost proportionally with increasing overlap length.
