摘要
For the performance analysis of axial flux permanent magnet (AFPM) machine, three-dimensional (3-D) finite element analysis (FEA) is requisite, while it takes a huge time to calculate. In order to reduce the computation time, 3-D AFPM model is approximated to 2-D model in this study. The proposed approximation is based on linear synchronous machine topology. The accuracy of the proposed method is validated via comparison with 3-D FEA.
