摘要
We applied the ray theory to estimation of hydroelastic behavior of VLFS since the method is easy to handle and is not time consuming. The theory itself is based on the classical ray theory. The hydroelastic behavior of VLFS is treated as wave propagation in the platform. One of the shortcomings of the ray theory is that the wave amplitude is suddenly changed along a ray that passes through the corner. We proposed an application the parabolic approximation to overcome it. Applying this method, more realistic result of amplitude distribution can be obtained. This method is applied to the 5000m-class floating airport with the variation of the bottom topology, flexural rigidity, and the geometry of VLFS.
