Global manufacturing and the enlightenment on the growth of China's manufacturing industry

The rise of global manufacturing has been a significant phenomenon in the global economy over the past two decades. After the introduction of global manufacturing, the paper analyses the background of global manufacturing in detail, such as the rapid development of information technology, the growth of market scale, highly developed division of labor based on specialization and global extension of multinational corporations, etc. The theory analysis of global manufacturing is discussed in the third section of the paper. By using the theory of Comparative advantage and core competencies, the analysis emphasizes on the source of this phenomenon. As multinational corporations have a profound effect on the shape of the manufacturing industry worldwide, the paper discusses the main factors that affect multinational corporations' strategy of global manufacturing strategy.
