摘要
The rapid development of information technology, especially Internet, is pushing the progress of world's economic globalization forward hardly. Under such a situation, many multinational companies are re-configuring or re-designing their global strategies to strengthen their innovation abilities and competitive advantages. innovation is the fundamental motive force that pushes economic globalization forward, whereas new characteristics have emerged in enterprises' innovative activities under the globalization. It is necessary to re-examine innovation activities under globalization situations. This paper adapts the theory of secondary innovation based on global competition to study global competitive strategies for companies in developing countries by examining China's manufacturing companies and also puts forward strategic measures of secondary innovation for China's manufacturing companies to gain late-comer's advantage through engaging adequate modes of secondary innovation in the global competition.
