Objective assessment of fabric pilling based on light projection and image analysis

摘要：
A new objective method based on optical projection and image analysis for assessing fabric pilling is presented. The device for capturing light projected images, the acquisition of pilled fabric image, pills segmentation, the extraction of pill feature and the assessment of pill grade by neural network are discussed. This objective assessment of fabric pilling can eliminate the interference with pilling information from fabric color and pattern. The experiment results show that this new method can satisfy the assessment of pilling grade.
