摘要
The paper covers the results of study into behavior of the alkali-activated hydraulic cements made with granulated blast furnace slags, ashes of heat power stations as a commercial product-within the heavyweight concretes. Technological peculiarities of the alkali-activated cement concrete mixes with the reference to those OPC concrete mixes are presented and the results of study of the process of structure formation and properties of these concretes are given. Distinctive features of development over time structural characteristics of the concretes made with the alkali-activated cements of new generation are described as compared with the earlier known alkali-activated cement concretes in which used as cements were: a mixture of ground slag and alkali activator solution and the OPC concretes. The results of the study allowed defining basic principles of how to keep under control technological and physical&mechanical characteristics of the concrete mixes and concretes. The papers deals with high slump concretes that have been designed, gives recommendations on the fields of their effective application in construction and discusses their durability.
