Techniques for Reducing Output Current Ripple in a Flyback Converter with PFC

摘要
This work presents the research results of using various methods to suppress the output current ripple in switched-mode power supplies with flyback topology. The following methods were reviewed: using filtering capacitors, dispersing ripples on a field-effect transistor, stabilizing the voltage on the high side, and stabilizing the current on the low side. These methods were tested on two specially designed power supplies with a galvanic opto-isolator (60 W) and without one (25 W). This paper presents the comparative characteristics of these methods, field tests of the heat sink, and descriptions of the application features for PWM voltage converters.
