摘要
This paper is concerned with an application of the dual reciprocity method (DRM) to the time-stepping BEM for the transient heat conduction problem in anisotropic solids. Through an appropriate coordinate transform the governing differential quation results in a diffusion equation with the Laplace operator. Time derivative in the governing differential equation is approximated by the time-stepping method. The fundamental solution of the Laplace equation is used for the present BEM formulation. The domain integral concerning the 'pseudo' initial condition is included in the boundary integral equation at each time step. This domain integral is transformed into boundary integrals by using a radial basis function for the dual reciprocity method. The details of the proposed DRBEM are presented, and its usefulness is demonstrated through numerical computation.
