摘要
In this study, Dielectric Barrier Discharge (DBD) was used to activate the surface of polyamide 6 fabric at different consumed powers with the aim of obtaining the best condition to improve Ink Jet printability and antibacterial properties. It was found that, 8.75 W and 15 W are the best condition of treatment. The results obtained showed high antimicrobial activity of Ag-deposit polyamide fabrics treated by DBD and a great change in improving surface resistivity, roughness and wettability. The plasma treatment process enhanced polyamide printability with pigment inks and showed high color yields and excellent pattern sharpness. Thus, it could successfully overcome the lower ability of polyamide fibers to hold on water and inks due to its smooth morphology and chemical property.
