摘要
Highlights the investment made by Rover for the launch of its new executive car, the Rover 75. Discusses the reasoning behind the building of a completely new factory on the existing Oxford site that has double the output capacity of the one it replaces. it also has a much better quality potential, is very flexible and is designed for minimal environmental impact Particular attention is given in the article to the new body-in-white facility, which sets new standards in robot automation and in the layout These enable the plant to provide high productivity with a high degree of flexibility while meeting world-class expectations equal to those of Rover's owners, BMW.
