摘要
We studied composition of flavinoid pigments and pH of the cell sap in 14 mutant poppy strains. Color variability of petals is chiefly defined by the proportion between two anthocyanidins, pelargonidin and cyanidin. Flavonols kempferol and quercetin as well as the cell sap pH modulate the flower color tinging it with blue hues. By contrast to other plants, spontaneous mutagenesis in poppy gave rise to the mutants synthesizing more oxidized pigments. Pathways of flavinoid substances biosynthesis in poppy is discussed.
