摘要
In this research, performance evaluation of timing synchronization on Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) communication system under Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) communication channel is done. The performance evaluation is done by comparing the existing time synchronization algorithms, here will be presented four types of algorithms to calculate the arrival time of OFDM symbol. Simulation is done by considering the level of Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) and Carrier Frequency Offset (CFO). Performance of the algorithm is measured by MSE (Mean Squared Error). From the simulation results it can be seen that approach by minimizing the squared difference is good under high SNR level, while the approach to maximize correlation is better for the low SNR level.
