摘要
The inclusion of glass in concrete is known to aggravate alkali-silica reactivity (ASR). However, fly ash is known to help control ASR under the right conditions. Both of these products were used in the mixture proportioning research. In phase I, following ASTM C 305 and C 1260, mortar bars, using five different mixtures, were made to test for alkali-silica reactivity. The proportions using a combination of 20 % glass and 20 % fly ash developed little or no expansion. In phase II, controlled low-strength material (CLSM) mixtures using high volumes of glass and high volumes of fly ash were also investigated. The mixtures with 75 % fly ash and 75 % or 100 % glass developed little or no expansion.
