THE EFFECT OF ADDING ANIMAL MANURE AND BIO-STIMULANT AMALGEROL ON THE GROWTH PARAMETERS OF TWO VARIETIES (LOCAL, SPANISH) OF THE BROAD BEAN PLANT (VICIA FABA L.)

摘要
An investigative study was conducted in one of the fields affiliated to the Directorate of Agriculture of the Holy Governorate, Karbala in the desert region during the autumn agricultural season 2018. The main aim of the study was to study the effect of both animal fertilizer and the bio-stimulant Amalgerol in the growth indicators and yield of two varieties of the broad bean plant (local and Spanish). A 3x2 factorial experiment according to Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replicates and two factors was carried out, where the averages were compared according to the Duncan test and at a probability level of 0.05. The results showed the superiority of the interaction treatment, the adding of Amalgerol bio-stimulant with the Spanish variety by giving the highest levels of vegetative growth and yield. It recorded 76.8 cm and 23.33 cm and 158 g and 29.83% in the plant length, the pod length, and the weight of 100 seeds and the percentage of dry matter for the seeds, respectively. Finally, the treatment of adding of Amalgerol bio-stimulant with the local variety was superior in the main branch number, side branch number and protein percentage with 10.63cm, 10.43 cm and 27.39%, respectively.
