High-Q Nanocavities based on Two-Dimensional Photonic Crystals

摘要
A heterostructure-type nanocavity based on a two-dimensional photonic crystal slab made from a silicon-on-insulator wafer can realize an experimental Q factor exceeding 11 million Fundamental properties and applications of such nanocavities are discussed.
