Management changes toward an e-business era

Transitioning a business organization from a tradition bricks and mortar business model to an e-business model poses many challenges. It requires taking a holistic view of the organization, and introducing and implementing many organizational changes. The MIT90 framework depicts the organization as being composed of five interrelated components: strategy, technology, management processes, structure, and individuals and roles. Changes to any component, such as strategy (i.e., adopting an e-business strategy), results in compensatory changes in the others. This study proposes a model based on the MIT90 framework for the successful transition to an e-business model.
