摘要
To evaluate the expression levels of ICAM-1, VCAM-1, VLA-4 and fibronectin after brain injury induced by partial occlusion of the umbilical cord in fetal lambs. We found, in the first moments after HI brain injury, a decrease in the expression of these adhesion molecules, with the exception of the ICAM-1 whose levels showed no changes. These data suggest that de novo synthesized adhesion molecules will not be detected until after a period of 4 hours or more, whereas ICAM-1 maintains its expression in a constitutive form.
