摘要
The main cost of time synchronization in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) is to interact information with each other through wireless transceivers, so reducing the frequency of synchronous transmission is an important way to reduce the cost of synchronization. In the paper, we propose an Energy Efficiency Time Synchronization Protocol (SETS) for WSNs. EFTS exploits the combination of ARMA (Auto Regressive Moving Average) model and Kalman filter model in time series to predict, which can not only solve the shortcoming of low prediction accuracy of ARMA in complex environment, but also make up for the shortcoming of Kalman filter prediction that cannot adapt to the non-linear change of time accuracy. EETS realizes the energy efficiency of time synchronization by adjusting the feedback of synchronization cycle adaptively under certain error limitation. We further build a prototype system and the validation results confirm the effectiveness of EETS and show energy efficiency for WSNs.
