摘要
This paper offers a possible explanation for the divergences between mainstream economics and the Keynesian/post-Keynesian school. Using the dichotomy set forth by Shelia Dow between the Cartesian/Euclidean mode of thought (a closed, atomic and dual system) and the Babylonian/Stoic mode (open, organic and not dual), this study approaches the methodological differences between both currents and shows how the use of different modes of thought imply different ways of understanding and practicing economy.
