Changes in the education system a t the beginning of the XXI century as a factor of the dynamics of the IQ of the population in Russia

摘要
The article presents and analyzes data on the dynamics of the IQ of the population of Russia born in 1974-1998. The analysis of the all-Russian dynamics of IQ depending on the year of birth of persons with secondary vocational, secondary general and higher education, the analysis of the dynamics of IQ of persons with different levels of education in federal districts and the analysis of the dynamics of IQ of persons with different levels of education, living in settlements with different numbers population, were analyzed. The results showed that the trajectories of IQ changes of persons with different educational levels were approximately the same until 1988, but then began to diverge: the rate of increase in IQ was highest for persons with secondary general education, it was slower for persons with higher education, and in the case of persons with secondary vocational education it almost stopped. An analysis by federal districts showed that this ratio took place, in general, throughout the entire territory of Russia, although the North Caucasian Federal District and the Crimean federal subjects were characterized by some specificity, and the analysis for settlements with different population sizes showed that the trajectories of dynamics of IQs of people with different levels of education are most similar in megalopolises, and the most peculiar in cities with a population of 50 to 100 thousand people. A likely explanation for the differences found is the increase of test sophistication among persons with secondary general and higher education, due to the introduction of the Unified State Examination (USE), preparation for which is more important for the high school students than for those receiving secondary vocational education, since its successful completion provides an opportunity to enter university.
