摘要
The effect of localised fruit density was studied on single branchlets of 'Carolea' olive trees to learn the relationship between fruit growth, oil accumulation and ripening. From fruit set to harvest, fruit diameter and fresh and dry fruit weight were measured. Fruit ripening was monitored. The decrease in fruit load on single branchlets greatly increased fruit growth and oil accumulation rate during Stage III of the fruit development period and advanced fruit ripening.
