摘要
At present, as the rapid development of mobile Internet technology greatly impacts on people's reading habits, fragmented reading has become one of the main channels for them to receive information. Nonetheless, fragmented reading caters to the preferences of many college students with its unique characteristics. Therefore, how to use this prevailing reading method, combined with new media technology, to improve the teaching of college English reading is worth thinking about. Based on students' learning of college English reading, this paper proposes a new and specific method of establishing a class-based English communication platform with the aid of new media technology, to contribute to the current curriculum reform of higher education in China.
