摘要
Cement stabilization method has been widely used in Japan as one of the techniques for improving the soft ground. The mechanical properties of cement-stabilized soils change for curing time by a chemical reaction of cement and therefore it is important to evaluate the influence. As a new nondestructive testing method, the Falling Weight Deformation Measurement (FWDM)apparatus was developed for measuring deformation modulus of cement-stabilized soils. From the test results of the cement-stabilized soils with different curing time, water contents, cement contents and consolidation pressure, it was clarified that the deformation modulus has a linear relation to the unconfined compressive strength independently of these influence factors. Moreover, the strength of the stabilized soils in a long term was predicted from the change of the deformation modulus in a short term and the effectiveness of this method was verified.
