The article presents the results of experimental investigations conducted seeking to analyse the performance of automatic weighing devices used in modem weighing and filling machines designed for dosing of various bulk materials. The effect of vibrations, typically present in dose accumulation processes of such devices, on accuracy of dosing is analysed. Special attention is paid to the effect of heavier loads that are possible when material consists of unequal, larger and smaller pieces. Most typical examples are exposed visually. Legal regulations of this area applicable in Lithuania are also discussed.
