The paper describes a new generation broadcasting system in China named Advanced System-Satellite (ABS-S) that offers system performance service versatility suitable for future satellite broadcasting. The new system utilizes variable rate, constant single LDPC codes to allow all satellite applications supplied DVB-S2 system, including: TV and sound interactivity (i.e., Internet access), and professional services, as TV contribution links and digital satellite news Meanwhile the new system utilizes fixed frame structure realize the CCM, VCM and ACM working modes adopted DVB-S2 system to further simplify the complexity of implementation. The paper provides a tutorial overview of ABS-S system, describing its main features and performance. prototype system has been Implemented based on the protocol. Results from both lab tests and field trials significant performance advantages of the new design existing satellite broadcasting system DVB-S and almost the performance as the second generation satellite system DVB-S2.
