Electrochemical synthesis of polyaniline on vapor-deposited polyaniline layers

摘要
Polyaniline is synthesized electrochemically on the surface of the layers deposited on transparent conducting SnO2-based electrodes by fractional thermal vapor deposition of emeraldine base in vacuo. The synthesis is conducted in the galvanostatic mode, in aqueous solutions of aniline hydrochloride. It is shown that, prior to the commencement of the electrochemical process, vapor-deposited polyaniline undergoes protonation. At the initial stages, the electrochemical process is conjugated with oxidation of the layer deposited. Highly homogeneous polyaniline layers of different configurations can be obtained on conducting substrates by this method.
