A laparoscopic fixation of the rectum was carried out in seven women with complete rectal prolapse. For fixation a Marlex Mesh was used, which was stapled to the pre-sacral fascia in all patients. The mesh was sutured to the rectum in three patients and stapled in four. There were no complications and in a follow-up period of 1 to 14 months no recurrence of the prolapse occurred.
