Edge estimation and directional diffusion for image restoration

摘要
This paper proposes an image restoration technique based on a prior model on the edge direction. The technique incorporates a directional diffusion process with probabilistic relaxation for estimating the gradient direction, and is a variation of an edge dipole field based technique proposed previously by the authors. It turns out that the image diffusion technique of Alverez, et.al. ([1]) is a special case of our technique.
