Thalpius rufulus (LeConte) (Coleoptera: Carabidae) in Oregon: New state record and habitat data

Thalpius rufulus (LeConte) is documented from Oregon for the first time. All specimens were found along the shores of an alkaline lake. Adults of 31 other carabid species were collected in the same microhabitat. Collecting records suggest the primary habitat of T. rufulus is along the margins of alkaline/saline bodies of water, including tidal marshes.
