Analysis of Council of Europe Convention on Offences relating to Cultural Property

Council of Europe Convention on Offences relating to Cultural Property aims to prevent and combat the illicit traffic in and destruction of cultural property in the framework of the Organization's action against terrorism and organized crime. The Convention will be open for signature by any country in the world. Its purpose is also to promote international cooperation in combating these crimes that are destroying the world cultural heritage.
