摘要
Recent extension of Zerilli-Armstrong (Z-A) constitutive relations to higher temperature is assessed using yield strength measurements on 0.09 C steel covering the initial deformation behaviors of metastable and stable gamma-iron phases. Descriptions of temperature dependence of yield stress; stress-dependent activation energy; and, activation area agree with the Z-A formulation. The relatively weaker thermal dependence of fcc strain hardening compared to a stronger thermal dependence of yield stress for bcc metals is pointed out.
