摘要
Estimating tire-road friction is of significant importance for the development of vehicle safety systems. Depending on the chosen tire model, reliable on-line identification of the coefficient of friction is a challenging task. This article presents a novel method for slip-based tire-road friction estimation by employing an improved linear parameterisation of the Burckhardt friction model. In terms of approximation error, a significant improvement over previous works is observed. Furthermore, methods for reliable on-line parameter estimation are analysed and studied in simulation. The proposed method shows improved robustness.
