摘要
Using light to control cell and animal behavior has opened up many avenues of research in neuroscience and cell biology, but applications in developmental biology have been limited thus far. Guglielmi et al. (2015) now apply optogenetic tools to control cortical contractility and tissue morphogenesis in Drosophila embryos.
