This paper is concerned with the study of the basic price equation of the dynamic Leontief model described by F(k) p(k + 1) = [1 + r(k)] [F(k) - I] p(k) + Gp(0)(k+1) a(0), k = 0, 1, ... , L - 1, where F(k) = I + (I-A(T))B--1(T)(k) and G = (I-A(T))(-1) considering both time-invariant and periodic coefficients, with particular emphasis on establishing some results in the periodic case where F(k) are commuting normal matrices.
