摘要
TiO2/palygorskite composites are prepared by the sol-gel method as follows. First, tetrabutyl titanate is used as the precursor, then calcined at different temperatures to obtain catalyst with average size below 10 nm. The samples are characterized by XRD,TEM. Study on the photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue over the catalysts shows that the TiO2/palygorskite calcined at 500 degrees C for 2h has perfect absorption and catalytic property. Moreover, H2O2 can rapidly increase the degrading efficiency by TiO2/palygorskite. According to analysis of the degradation products, it is showed that when the initial concentration of methylene blue is 50 mg /L, and the concentration of H2O2 is 2 mmol /L, then the benzene ring and chromophoric groups get to diminished thoroughly after 10 minutes.
