Preparation and Characterization of Super Cross-Linked Poly(ethylene oxide) Gel Polymer Electrolyte for Lithium-Ion Battery

摘要
This study reported the strength reinforced crosslinked network structure gel polymer electrolyte (GPE) based on the Poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) using poly diethylene glycol diglycidyl ether. Triethylene tetramine (TETA), tetraethylene pentamine (TEPA) and 1,8-diaminooctane were tried as the cross linker agents and compared. Results showed that with a 15% content of 1,8-Diaminooctane, the ionic conductivity of the polymer material reached 7.07x10(-3) S cm(-1). The tensile strength of 15 wt% 1,8-diaminooctane GPE membrane increased to 0.45 MPa, and the Young's modulus was calculated to be 11.5 MPa. 1,4-butanediol diglycidyl ether in 5% provided necessary flexibility. Linear Sweep Voltammetry (LSV) indicated electrochemical stability window was 4.8 V. Alternating Current Impedance (AC Impedance) was employed to estimate the overall performance of electrochemical properties. Results showed the as-prepared gel polymer electrolyte has the prospect of practical application for the Lithium ions batteries.
