The complications of interventional bronchoscopy

Interventional bronchoscopy associated different techniques ; rigid bronchoscopy under general anaesthesia, the utilisation of the laser, cryotherapy, electrocoagulation and the positioning of endobronchial prostheses. It is used most often in those patients whose respiratory reserve is precarious. It is important to recognise the potential complications of these different techniques in order to prevent them as far as possible. This article also reviews the principal complications which are linked to each technique which has previously been described.
