Optimum Filtering Theory Based Control for Grid Tied PV-Battery Microgrid System

摘要
This paper presents optimum filtering theory based control for three phase utility interfaced microgrid system based on the photovoltaic (PV) and a battery energy storage (BES) with improved power quality capabilities. This microgrid is integrated with the BES and PV array at DC bus of voltage source converter (VSC) to supply reserve power to local loads and distribution network. The controlled BES is used to enhance the stability and reliability of PV-BES microgrid system. The BES is not only beneficial on daily energy saving but it is also sized to furnish smoothing facilities to the PV-BES microgrid system. The optimum filtering theory based control is used to control the PV-BES microgrid system in current control mode. A PV feed-forward (PVFF) is incorporated in current control for injection of active power to the utility as well as to improve the dynamic operation of PV-BES microgrid system. The effectiveness of PV-BES microgrid system is validated experimentally.
