Quantum chaos in Rydberg atoms: A quantum potential approach

摘要
The quantum signature of chaos in Rydberg atoms has been studied using a quantum theory of motion and quantum fluid dynamics. A hydrogen atom in the electronic ground state (it = 1) and in an excited electronic state (n = 20) behaves differently when placed in an external oscillating electric field. Temporal evolutions of Shannon entropy, density correlation, phase space distance function of Bohmian trajectories and associated Kolmogorov-Sinai entropy for these two cases show marked differences.
