摘要
In terms of observations from the single station lightning location system and the method of statistic, the major weather process, days, frequency and diversification of lightning during 20052006 are elementary studied, to show the spatial and temporal characteristics of cloud to ground (CG) lightning activities in Guizhou province. The results suggest that in Guizhou, lightning mainly occurs from April through September, which is 96.40% of the annual total. The most frequent month is July, followed by June and August, and the max density of lighting is 13900 times per day. There are two most frequent period of a day: 15:00-23:00 and 01:00-05:00, which chart is shown as two apexes, the reason is closely associated with severe convection weather taking place after the midday. The spatial distribution of lightning is regional wise, with the dense area in the northern and eastern parts of the province, which is influenced by the landform and distributed around the coteau or the water area.
