By means of the modified Abel lemma on summation by parts, we examine a nonterminating F-3(2)(3/4)-series and establish two transformation theorems. Several summation formulae are derived as consequences, including those discovered by Andrews (1974) [1], Gosper (1977) [12] and Gessel Stanton (1982) [11]. (C) 2017 Elsevier Inc.
