摘要
Computational grids are seen as the future emergent computing infrastructures. However, their programming requires the use of several paradigms that are implemented through several communication middleware and runtimes (distributed objects, message-passing libraries,...). However some of these middleware and runtimes are unable to take benefit of the presence of various networking technologies available in grid infrastructures. In this paper, we propose an approach that is capable of exploiting the underlying networking technologies at their maximum performance. This approach is based on the CORBA architecture from the OMG for which we propose the concept of parallel CORBA object able to exploit Wide Area Networks (WAN) technologies and a supportive environment able to exploit various System Area Networks (SAN) technologies. Such approach encourages grid programmers to use the most suited communication paradigms for their applications independently from the underlying networks.
