摘要
Acute viral otitis represents a substantial segment of otitis that need hospitalization in an otolaryngology ward. The patient with viral ear infection (influenza, measles, etc.) may contain since the onset of disease elements of sensorineural hearing impairment that complicates a transmission hypoacusis that prevails as symptomatology. The authors present a group of 25 patients of a confirmed acute viral otitis at which the audiology test results performed at the beginning of hospitalization confirmed the senosineural component in the initial stages of the disease. A complete and correct investigation, a repeated audiology test of a patient with acute viral otitis represents way of test in a situation of cases in which is raised suspicion of malpractice, that is offering to the ENT physician the laboratory elements, meant to justify the course of treatment.
