SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF SOME NOVEL AZODERIVATIVES

The paper presents 15 novel azoderivatives, obtained by the condensation of 2-methyl-N-chloroacetylaniline or 2-ethoxy-N-chloroacetylaniline with 4-(phenylazo) phenols 4'-substituted or not, or with 4-hydroxy4'-(phenylazo) biphenyls 4 ''-substituted or not, These new compounds have been characterized using physical methods (UV-Vis, IR, (1)H-NMR and Mass Spectra). The molecular modelling of the chemical structures, concerning molecular descriptors for QSPR (Quantitative Structure Property Relationship), was performed with Hyperchem 6.0, MM+ (Molecular Mechanics) method, CODESSA and MOPAC 6.0 soft packages. The phytobiological activity (Triticum test) was determined for the novel azoderivatives.
