Ultra-compact optical filter in two-dimensional photonic crystal

摘要
A design of an ultra-compact in-plane optical add/drop filter is proposed. The filter is formed by two waveguides and one two-mode cavity in a two-dimensional triangular photonic crystal. The simulated results demonstrate good transfer characteristics with a quality factor of about 1700.
