摘要
We outline the prospects for ultrafast modulators based on dispersion-engineered photonic crystal waveguides. Due to the slow light enhancement, devices of 100-200 micrometers length can be realised that operate over a >10 nm bandwidth. (C) 2009 Optical Society of America
